This place transports you away from
the cold and grey of Leicester to a
Pacific Island. Walking in on a
weekday, we were hit by chilled
music, Hawaiian shelters and awesome
tables made of tree trunks. With all
the drinks being made by Hakamou,
this bar will pour you some of the
best cocktails in Leicester, with
drinks being served out of
pineapples, Orangina bottles, Vacuum
cans and Kitchen sinks. Hakamou is
like two different bars, during the
week (except Mondays) you get a
chilled bar where you can talk with
mates, and get certain cocktails for
£4, but on Friday and Saturday
nights, you get more what of what
you want on a crawl or a night out,
with DJs playing classics on two
floors and its open till at least
1am every night. Although the drinks
are quite high in price, they are
not only class, but strong; so
definitely worth the extra you’re
paying. If you’ve never been to
Hakamou; check it out, it’s a unique
bar in Leicester thanks to its theme
and its drinks and we bet it’ll
become one of your favourite bars;
just like with us. If you’re a die-
hard beer drinker, they’re £3.70 for
a bottle, and a spirit/mixer is
£3.80.
